Anyone who spams from their CacheNet account is fined for $50 per incident plus $100 per hour of labor. CacheNET is also a subscriber to the RBL.

CIAS netblocks known abusers and uses filters to catch spam. Of course, they have disabled relaying as well.

Cave Network Group (8 Feb 1998)

Cave uses IP blocking and has turned off relaying. They also have spam filters on their news server and charge $150 per spam received. This is enforced by agressively tracking down spammers and employing a hungry lawyer. <grin>

Communications World Network (6 Dec 1997)

CWNet will nuke the accounts of spammers upon discovery. Also,they charge $1 for every message that is relayed through them or received by them.

Concentric Network Corporation (27 Dec 1997)

Concentric Network staffers are participants in the anti-spam list and indicate that they are against network abuse and are adding staff to handle the problem. They also charge $200/day for cleanup costs stemming from abuse incidcents. Concentric also maintains a status page where you can view the status of spamming incidents regarding their site.

In addition to terminating spamming accounts with no refund,ConnectNet blocks incoming spam by checking IP addresses,domain names, and content based filters!Also, ConnectNet founded the SDISPAR (San Diego ISP Abuse Registry) to help educate local ISPs on spam and how to defend themselves against it.

Corpsite has spam blocking in place on their mailservers to block spam by domains and e-mail addresses. As a webhosting company, Corsite does not allow spamvertising of a customer's website.

In addition to charging spammers for $500 for each piece of e-mail they attempt to send, they also have an anti-spam section on their website that contains information on spam and what to do (and not do) about it.

CTS employs a number of anti-spam measures, including: IPfilters, disabled relaying, scoring techniques on incoming and outgoing e-mail, limit on the number of recipients of outgoing e-mail, a secured NNTP server, and no refunds regardless of the level of access.
